Participants Under 18:  Participants who are under the legal age requirement of The Axe Factor must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times during their visit to our venue. The supervising adult must be a parent, legal guardian, or another adult authorised by the parent or legal guardian. The supervising adult should have a comprehensive understanding of the risks associated with axe throwing and ensure the minor’s safety, compliance with safety guidelines, and appropriate conduct throughout their visit.

Valid Identification: To verify the age of participants, we may request valid identification upon entry to The Axe Factor. Acceptable forms of identification include government-issued identification cards, driver’s licenses, or passports. Failure to provide valid identification may result in denial of entry or participation in axe-throwing activities.

Waiver and Liability: Participants under the legal age requirement, or their parent/legal guardian if applicable, are required to sign a liability waiver before engaging in any activities at The Axe Factor. The waiver acknowledges the inherent risks associated with axe throwing and releases The Axe Factor, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any liability for personal injury, property damage, or other claims that may arise during their visit.

Supervision by Adult: To ensure the safety and well-being of participants under the age requirement, a responsible adult must actively supervise them at all times. The supervising adult should closely monitor the minor’s actions, provide guidance, and ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and venue rules.

Verification by Staff: Our staff members are authorised to verify the age and eligibility of participants at any time during their visit to The Axe Factor. Safety Measures

At The Axe Factor, the safety and well-being of our participants are of paramount importance. We have implemented comprehensive safety measures to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

Safety Briefings and Instructions: Before participating in axe-throwing activities, all participants are required to attend a safety briefing conducted by our trained staff. During this briefing, participants will receive detailed instructions on proper axe-throwing techniques, safety guidelines, and venue-specific rules. We emphasise the importance of adhering to these instructions to minimise risks and maintain a safe environment.

Safety Equipment: Closed-toe shoes are mandatory to prevent foot injuries and ensure stability while throwing axes. We also do not allow anybody under the influence of drugs or alcohol to take part.

Trained Staff: Our dedicated staff members are trained in axe-throwing safety protocols and are knowledgeable in effectively managing potential risks. They are present or remotely monitoring via CCTV at all times during axe-throwing sessions to provide guidance, assistance, and to ensure compliance with safety guidelines. Participants are encouraged to approach our staff members with any questions or concerns related to safety.

Safe Axe-Throwing Environment: We have designed our axe-throwing venue with safety in mind. Our throwing areas are constructed and maintained to minimise risks, with appropriate safety barriers and designated throwing lanes. Participants are required to remain within their assigned throwing areas and respect the boundaries set by our staff. This helps maintain a safe distance between participants and reduces the likelihood of accidents.

Risk Mitigation: While axe throwing is a sport that inherently involves certain risks, we strive to mitigate those risks to the best of our abilities. Our staff are trained to monitor participants’ activities, identify potential hazards, and take immediate action to address any safety concerns that may arise. We regularly conduct thorough inspections of our equipment and facilities to ensure they meet safety standards and are well-maintained.

Emergency Preparedness: The Axe Factor maintains comprehensive emergency protocols to handle any unforeseen situations. Our staff members are trained in first aid and CPR, and emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers and first aid kits, are readily available on-site. In the event of an emergency, participants are instructed to follow staff instructions and evacuate the premises in an orderly manner.

Participant Responsibility: Participant cooperation is crucial in maintaining a safe environment. We expect all participants to take personal responsibility for their safety and the safety of others. This includes following safety guidelines and instructions provided by our trained staff, respecting the rules and boundaries of the venue, and using equipment and facilities appropriately. Participants should promptly report any safety concerns or incidents to our staff.

The Axe Factor is committed to upholding the highest safety standards. By providing comprehensive safety briefings, necessary safety equipment, and maintaining a vigilant staff, we aim to create a secure environment where participants can enjoy the thrill of axe throwing with peace of mind.

Respect for Others: We emphasise the importance of respect towards fellow participants, staff members, and any other individuals present at The Axe Factor. Discrimination, harassment, or any form of disrespectful behaviour, including offensive language, gestures, or actions, will not be tolerated. We strive to maintain an environment where all individuals feel welcomed and included.

Property Damage: Participants must treat all equipment, facilities, and property at The Axe Factor with care and respect. Any intentional or reckless behaviour that results in damage to property, including but not limited to axes, target boards, safety barriers, or other equipment, is strictly prohibited. Participants will be held liable for any damages caused by their actions.

Safety Guidelines and Instructions: It is mandatory for all participants to adhere to the safety guidelines and instructions provided by our trained staff. This includes following proper throwing techniques, respecting the designated throwing areas and boundaries, and using safety equipment as instructed. Failure to comply with safety guidelines may endanger oneself and others, and may result in immediate expulsion from the venue without refund.

Intoxication and Substance Use: Participants must refrain from consuming alcohol, drugs, or any substances that impair judgement or coordination before or during axe-throwing activities. Any individual who appears to be under the influence of such substances will not be permitted to participate for safety reasons. We prioritise the well-being and safety of all participants and aim to maintain a substance-free environment.

Compliance with Laws and Regulations: Participants are expected to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and local ordinances while at The Axe Factor. This includes but is not limited to laws regarding public behaviour, alcohol consumption, and age restrictions. Any illegal activity or behaviour that violates the law will result in immediate expulsion and may be reported to the appropriate authorities.

Consequences of Misconduct: The Axe Factor reserves the right to address any misconduct or behaviour that jeopardises the safety of others, the venue’s integrity, or the overall experience of participants. Depending on the severity of the violation, consequences may include verbal warnings, expulsion from the venue without refund, and, if necessary, legal action. Our staff members have the authority to make decisions regarding participant conduct for the well-being of all involved.

At The Axe Factor, we strive to create a positive and enjoyable environment for participants of all backgrounds. By adhering to these conduct expectations, participants contribute to the overall experience and ensure the safety and well-being of everyone involved.

Participants are strictly forbidden from bringing, possessing, or consuming alcohol, drugs, or any other substances that may compromise their ability to safely engage in axe throwing.

Safety Considerations: Axe throwing requires focused attention, coordination, and precision. The influence of alcohol or substances can impair judgement, slow reaction times, and diminish motor skills. Such impairment increases the risk of accidents, injuries, and potential harm to oneself and others in the vicinity. To maintain a safe environment, participants must be free from the influence of alcohol or drugs while engaging in axe throwing activities.

Participant Responsibility: Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are in a suitable condition to participate in axe throwing. Any participant found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to participate in axe throwing activities. Our staff is trained to observe signs of intoxication or impairment and reserves the right to refuse entry or participation to individuals who fail to meet the sobriety requirements.

Safety and Experience Enhancement: By adhering to our alcohol and substance use policy, participants can maximise their safety and fully enjoy the axe throwing experience. Clear judgement, focus, and motor skills contribute to accurate throws, reduced risks of accidents, and an overall enhanced experience for all participants.

Alternative Celebrations: We understand that celebrations and special occasions may be associated with alcohol or other substances. While we do not allow their consumption during axe throwing activities, participants are welcome to celebrate before or after their scheduled session in accordance with local laws and regulations. We can provide information and recommendations regarding nearby establishments where such celebrations can be safely enjoyed after completing the axe throwing experience.

At The Axe Factor, we prioritise participant safety and the creation of a secure and enjoyable environment.
